Satellite-Powered
Avalanche Risk Mapping
From space to slope — real-time risk intelligence for mountain safety.

Why We Exist
Today, avalanche safety relies on manual snow pits, intuition, and outdated forecasting methods. These approaches are labor-intensive, inconsistent, and leave critical blind spots across vast mountain regions.
We're changing this. By combining satellite Earth-observation data, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), advanced terrain physics, and snow modeling, we deliver comprehensive, real-time avalanche risk mapping across entire mountain ranges.
Our mission: to raise the global standard of mountain safety through data-driven intelligence.
Who We Are
We’re an aerospace-driven team building high-resolution avalanche risk maps from satellite radar, optical imagery, and mountain weather data. Our backgrounds span engineering, Earth observation, and alpine sport. We combine SAR analytics, snow-science modeling, and terrain intelligence to help skiers, guides, and rescue teams understand where the mountains are stable—and where they aren’t.

Our Vision
We’re building Europe’s first satellite-driven avalanche intelligence system—combining SAR, optical imagery, terrain models, and mountain weather data into a single operational platform. Our work is grounded in snow-science and aerospace engineering, giving rescuers, ski patrols, and mountain communities the clarity they need to make real decisions on real terrain.
Avalanche safety shouldn’t depend on guesswork. Every rescue service, ski resort, and mountaineer deserves access to transparent, high-resolution risk maps built from the best Earth-observation data Europe has. Our mission is to deliver that capability—through rigorous science, precise data processing, and a relentless focus on protecting life in the mountains.
From the Hackathon to Here
We started as a team of passionate engineers, satellite data experts, and mountain enthusiasts at the CASSINI Hackathon. Our winning concept proved that satellite Earth-observation could revolutionize how we understand and predict avalanche risks.
Today, we're building Avalanche Detectors from that spark of innovation. We have momentum, early traction from mountain stakeholders, and a clear mission to bring this technology to rescuers and communities who need it most.
